Original hand-painting by Cheryle LL Gannaway (Morghaine's Faeries)
The toucan- a very strange bird with a humongous, serrated beak used for eating fruit. (If you've ever tried to cut a mango, you can appreciate the beak on this bird!) This painting is another small-square conservation piece in Cheryle's rainforest conservation series. All pieces in this series are painted with repurposed materials to remind us of the importance of conserving our natural wonders.
There are many different species of toucan- some are endangered; some not. But we can't deny that this very unique, easily-identified bird is a symbol of the wonders of our global rainforests.
Proceeds from the sale of this painting will be donated to the eCornell Ornithology Labs (AllAboutBirds.org).
This painting ships for free with Fedex Ground in the Continent US.
