There are many arts and crafts that have fallen to the lore of history as we become a more digital world. One of them is the craft of spinning fibers (wools, cottons, linen, etc) into thread and yarn, which is then used to make fabric. It traditionally took 4 women spinning wool into thread for a week to make enough thread and yarn to be woven into a loose weave shirt.
Kind of mind blowing when you take a look at your wardrobe, right?
This spinning wheel is the Elizabeth 2 model from Ashford, a New Zealand company: https://www.ashford.co.nz/elizabeth-2
