Original hand-painting by Cheryle LL Gannaway (Morghaine's Faeries)
Inspired by the night sky, this impressionistic surreal piece gives the impression of a constellation with much more detail than what can be seen with the naked eye, especially now with the modern light pollution. The background fades from dark to light, showing the visibility that can be seen with the naked eye in that light. The original is painted with several thin layers of phosphorescent paint (glow in the dark) to create the nebula. This gives a glow-in-the-dark look to different parts of the painting in different lights, again reminding us of the fact that light is not always helpful in seeing the details.
