Description
A reimagined interpretation of a dreamcatcher. The dreamcatcher is an important symbol in the Native American tribes, particularly the Ojibwe of the Northern Plains. To learn more about the Sioux tribes, I recommend the newly opened Mdewakanton museum: shakopeedakota.org
Dreamcatchers are usually a hoop with an interconnected web of fiber and beads, along with feathers and chimes (zills). To learn more about the dreamcatcher, check out wikipedia: wikipedia.org/dreamcatcher
As the Bald Eagle is an important symbol and totem to the American Indian tribes, the sales from this image will be donated to the National Eagle Museum in Wabasha, Minnesota. https://www.nationaleaglecenter.org This organization aggressively rehabilitates and releases eagles, especially Bald Eagles). It is a highly skilled group of people who openly educate about eagles.
