Original hand-painting by Cheryle LL Gannaway (Morghaine's Faeries)
Challenging to do those 3/4 portraits! But on a bird, even more so! A study in color, texture, and shading, this ethere-owl (ethereal) piece seems to leap off the page. Great for teens and bird lovers of any kind! The head of hand-painted in Cheryle's distinctive style with the exception of the eyes, which is negative space (a hole to the background).
This painting is based off the Eastern Screech Owl, which is "horned" owl with a slightly flatter beak than the Great Horned.
